RFER President welcomes potential return of Lionel Messi to Barcelona with open arms

The President of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), Luis Rubiales, has expressed his views on the potential return of Lionel Messi to Barcelona. Rubiales said that Messi’s return would be “welcomed with open arms” by everyone and that he is an exceptional player who has shown his talents in Spain. Messi spent two decades with Barcelona before leaving for Paris Saint-Germain, and there are speculations that he may return to Barcelona in the future.

Rubiales further added that he is happy to see that La Liga is maintaining its competitiveness and that Messi’s return would only add to that. He believes that Barcelona is an important club in La Liga and that the league would be better off with Messi’s presence. While it remains to be seen whether Messi will indeed return to Barcelona, Rubiales’ comments indicate that he would be welcomed back by the Spanish football community.
