Miami Heat head coach, Erik Spoelstra, has reacted to Jimmy Butler’s ankle injury during Game 1 of the NBA playoffs. Spoelstra used an expletive to express his frustration with the injury, which occurred during the second quarter of the game against the Milwaukee Bucks. Butler landed awkwardly on his right foot after a layup attempt and was visibly in pain as he was helped off the court. Spoelstra stated that he did not yet know the severity of the injury and that the team would evaluate it further. Butler has been an essential player for the Heat this season, averaging 21.5 points per game, and his absence could be detrimental to their playoff hopes. The Heat lost Game 1 to the Bucks, but they will need Butler to be healthy if they hope to make a deep playoff run.
